Dim question about OPKs - apologies in advance!

Ok so I definitely had my surge yesterday mid morning on an OPK but DH and I were too tired last night to

We had :bd on the 2 days prior to that and am I right in thinking that if the surge happened yesterday then it would still be a good idea to BD tonight and tomorrow as it's still possible to catch the egg or would we have missed it by now?
