Had a stressful day today
I went for my normal midwife appointment this morning, I have protein and ketones in my urine and my bp reading was 168/99 - so i was referred straight to the hospital as ive had flashing lights in my eyes and headaches..
when i got to the hosp my urine was clear and my bp had dropped to 140ish so all good there however the midwife wanted a doctors opinion so a dr came and said he wanted a registrars opinion because my bp always seems high - they agreed to put me on a low dose of medication to manage my bp...
whilst this was happening babys heartrate kept going missing and the machine was beeping so i was starting to worry, when her heart rate came back it had shot up to 160 baseline.
they told me to go for something to eat and drink and come back in half an hour so assess the babys heartrate again... when i went back after half an hour her heart rate had shot up to 180 baseline - i had already been told that the norm is between 110-160 - lots of midwives, drs and the registrars kept coming in looking at the readings and commenting on how fast it was..
a new dr came on shift came into me and said im not worried shes obviously just active and im not putting you on bp tablets because its settling down throughout the day and basically asked me to leave because they needed the bed!!!
would you be happy with that? surely the midwife the first dr and the registrar cant all be wrong and this dr is right! i cant stop worrying!! one of the first drs said worst case scenario is that they would have to give me a section and get the baby out if her heartrate doesnt calm down!
ive got to see my midwife before next wednedsay and ive got an appointment with a consultant on wednesday - why if theres no problem?!?!
sorry for the long post and thanks to anybody who managed to read it all x
