So I'm JUST under the high risk BMI which is shit, because I'm not actually THAT big I'm just 5'1.
I desperately want a water birth but if I put on any more weight I cant have one!
So I need a diet that lets me eat chocolate, as thats the only thing that stops me voming on a hourly basis!
Or recommendations on what I can have thats sweet but not bad for you!
Whos lost weigh in pregnancy ?

I believe that slimming world is friendly during pregnancy, however it's not actually recommended to diet or loose weight while your pregnant.

I've got the same problem. I really hate BMI, I have massive boobs which do a good job contributing to my weight.

I'm did slimming world for a while but stopped when I found out I was pregnant as I didn't really want to pay to not loose weight if that makes sense. I'm trying to think of things you could have....curly wurlys and freddo bars are 5 "syns" each and you can have a max of 15syns a day. I know friends who freeze a curly wurly and break them up in to pieces so it lasts longer x

You might find that you lose weight if you are vomiting every hour. I've lost 7kg with it. Also you can get tablets from your gp that will help keep food down. Your health is more important than the number on the scales, even if you really want a water birth you need to get to that stage with enough nutrients for yourself and the baby. Must be frustrating with bmi for someone 5'1 though!

Okay thanks ladies! I know most of my friends said birth plans aren't worth the paper they're written on, But I just really don't want to be stuck on a bed all the time! Id love to have it at a birth centre!
BMI sucks! My friends sister is the strongest women in the uk, and according to her BMI She is obese!
she's 5'2 and pure muscle! BMI sucks

My bmi was 32 when I got pregnant. I'm 4'10" and have a background of mma and circus so I tend to carry lots of muscle. Bmi does not take this into account and in my view is an over simplified blanket way of looking at things that in many instances does more harm than good. I would recommend following a healthy diet not to lose weight but for optimum nutrition whilst pregnant so that you and your baby have a happy healthy life, which is more important than your bmi, especially if it's not that high anyway.

You don't have to be weighed or admit your bmi to the nhs if you don't want to. I have never been weighed when asked my bmi I have told them it is within healthy limits for me as an individual, even though at 32 it says I am obese. I was in no way obese when I got pregnant. I don't know what it is now, but I've put on three stone this pregnancy. It's not once been a problem and I have all the choices for birth, including birth centre birth pool. I'm choosing to birth at home with a pool. Xx

I feel for you lulla, I'm only 5ft 1 too. I've got huge boobs and a size 10 waist. I don't think I'm overweight but by bmi I am - mine is 28.4! I've been so sick and not able to eat so I've lost weight now but I'm only 9 weeks so have plenty of time to pile it on. Im just going to eat as healthy as I can throughout without torturing myself! I want to birth in the pool too so I'm hoping bmi isn't an issue. Nothing has been mentioned so far! Xx

Re: chocolate... when I was pg dark chocolate was one of the foods mentioned for boosting iron levels, so although I don't like it as much as normal chocolate, I switched and ate quite a bit.

Lindt is the best dark chocolate bar, my oh and I weaned ourselves off milk chocolate and slowly got darker and darker until we now like the 85% bar. And you eat less of it as it's more satisfying! Xx
