I can't speak from personal experience as this is my first so never been in your position - I just wanted to say don't be so hard on yourself - sometimes the dates can be out by a couple of days and it is the baby who will come when they are ready you really have no control over it hunny so can't be your body not functioning - maybe you should treat yourself to a nice bath xo

I was overdue with both mine, you have to remember a due date is just an esstimate and that it can be 2 week either side, some babies just take a little extra time. I do know what you ean tho, i was 10 days late with paige and 11 with jake and had to be induced with him so i know how you feel. Just try to get as much rest as you can now as when baby is here you will be rushed off your feet. Hope LO makes an appearance soon xxx

Thanks girls. It just has been hard because they for about 15 minute druing the examinaion in the surgery couldnt find his heart beat whcih left mine nearly stopping. It was a traumatic feeling tha i had no control and couldn't hear anything bu she managed to pick up mine instead (i was not impressed and told her i dont care about my bloddy heart beat) eventually they found it but hes lying in one very akward position so he's jus being a bit difficult. n e way, i am going to try and get some sleep, pray i get pain in the night (good pain that is) and my waters might decide to break. i also have carple tunnel syndrome so i feel like i have a dead hand but its only my thumb, index and middle finger thats affected. so so so need to give birth so i can feel a bit normal and gice my baby a cuddle to say hello finally! thanks again ladies xx

FX for you hun that it happens soon for you. xx

They say most common date for first baby to arrive is 40+8. Mine was 40+15 lol. It's understandable to get down but you will soon forget when baby is here )

im not even overdue and im down in the dumps x x hormones have a lot to answer for x

I feel like this too and have done for about a week now. I was induced with both my children, please dont be too hard on yourself, like the others have said. Your body has done a great job cooking this baby for you, yes it would be lovely to go into labour by yourself, but even if you dont when it's all over and you have your lovely wee baby in your arms you will be absolutley amazed at how well you have done and what you have achieved. You are not failing your baby at all.

hormones and tiredness = feeling down

My mates and I call it a due month not due date. I feel rubbish too at the moment, but you have to remember, dont put yourself under any pressure not at this stage, Im frustrated and p'd off with being out of breath and not able to get things off the floor and exhaustion....but as soon as you have your baby things start to lift I promise xxx
