Descaling a steriliser

Hi again,

I've very kindly been given a steriliser, its been very used, and is all scaled up - even the basket type thing.

Can I use a normal kettle descaler solution to de-scale it, if I rinse it loads?

I would think so, as I had to use the ketlle to make up milk after I had descaled it, but it might be worth contacting the manufacturer first - they must anticipate this happening.

 

[Strangeness]

I used a normal descaler to do my last one because it was a bit gunked up and it was fine. I just rinsed it loads and then put it on to sterlise with nothing in a few times and it was fine.
