If you didn't have any plans tonight then he has probably just asked his friend over to keep him company. I'm sure he didn't know how much you wanted to talk to him or he would have been there x

If he's playing his video game then I doubt he will have any break of concentration 
This is only going by experience It's just what guys do hun, especially when their friends are there.. It's a pity your mum cancelled, why don't you call up some friends even if it's just to come round for a cup of tea and a chat x

I don't know what to say other than I've seen you say he comes on here for a nosey so maybe he will see how upset you were if he finds this thread. Although hun I have to be honest, its better him having a quiet night in with his friend playing games rather than being out on the piss, I'm sure its not intentional xx

Aww hun, its defo the hormones!! I know from experience that time can literally FLY BY whilst gaming. One minute you sit down to play a 30 minute game, the next, about 5 hours later you're like no way...shit where did the time go!
I'm sure he hasn't intentionally meant to ignore you hun, guys just get carried away when hanging out with their mates.
It does sound like you are having a crappy time at the moment though and
to you.
Its healthy that you both are able to do things separately too, so whilst he's hanging out with a mate, you go enjoy yourself in town with your Dad.
BTW, your OH may be busy getting you a birthday pressie, so may not be able to be on FB chat? I know I couldn't do FB chat on my mobile, but I can update my status etc whilst waiting on bus or grabbing a bite to eat.

I'd say try not to worry too much, even the best of guys can be selfish at times. When my OH is with his friends they can play computer games and chat for hours and hours.
