Defrosted breastmilk

I express a little for my girl so she can stay with granda for a few hours on a Saturday. Today she slept her entire visit so the milk wasn't used.

Question is, do I have or use it or lose it tonight or can I use on Wednesday when we're going out? I'd hate to waste it!

I think once it's frozen and defrosted it needs to be refrigerated and used within 24 hours. That's the rule I always went by but I don't know if it's written! I would use it tonight, express at that feed then you're replacing it effectively without wasting!

Yup. 24 hours if defrosted. But I'd do the same. Use it at next feed and express the feed xxx
