Right I think I need someone to give me kick up the ar**

Feel really paranoid about baby's movements today actually woke up worrying?????!!!! The movements have been different in the last few days more like rolls and nudges? So I'm guessing she's just running out of room in there. Anyone else having the same? I've got the midwife tomorrow, don't want to call her and appear crazy and paranoid

Awwwww Pinkymum - don't worry, your suspicions are totally correct. Movements change completely the further you get into your pregnancy as bubs will have much less room to kick & take a swing at your insides!
As long as you are still feeling some movement during the day, then don't worry. If you don't feel movements & are worried, speak to your midwife hun x

Thanks sunny,
I just lay down and played incy winky spider to her and drank some water and she started moving a bit. Sometimes I'm really laid back and the next minute I'm worrying too much :)

Yes as far as I know this is totally normal. When I was in hospital last week the midwife said that the movements should feel like nudges and wiggles of the arms and bum, not kicks and punches anymore. She said that we should feel them as frequently as before though, and there should still be the sleep/awake pattern too. Her words to me were "your baby's movements are the only way you can tell if she's ok, so if they stop of reduce alot don't hesitate to ring us".
So, as long as she's still wriggling about and feels like she's trying to get comfy, I'd assume all is fine hun. xx

I've been like this too babe. Especially because I wasn't well. He was virtually not moving for most the day Friday and then on sat apart from the odd weak poke here and there. He's deffo run out of room. Last night he was on a mad one for hours!! I can still tell that he's pushed for room but it was non stop! Little one will be fine but if you are worried, I wouldn't worry about bugging people or looking paranoid, it's your baby! Xxxx

Thanks girls. Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm feeling her as much as before just that its different. Although I think she's lazy anyway because she's never kept me awake kicking or anything. I caved and bought a doppler a few weeks ago and I had a listen this morning and her hb sounded strong and the normal speed.

i had the same with my first, she was a non stop mover then one day she barely moved at all and i could hardly feel it. i was worried so i called maternity unit who said to go in and they put me on a monitor, they agreed that movement was greatly reduced so they gave me a large glas of ice water, that soon got her moving again.

if you are worried just call someone they will never moan at you as you are only doing what is best. if u feel something isnt right then call someone they will put ur mind at rest ok xx

:hugs: Glad you are feeling a little more at ease now hun.

Funny enough I woke up on Saturday feeling anxious about movement but after some porrige and a glass of water she was back to practicing her Kickboxing again :) xx

glad she started moving for u mine is really lazy in there haha hope he the same when born chilled out haha i wiiiissshhh. Hope ur wee girl keeps playing around in there :) x

My LO hasn't moved today yet :(

Midwife said to be that you don't have to keep track of movements. As long as theres some movement its ok.

Just waiting for LO to kick now, might put doppler on xxx

Yeah my movements have definitely changed now - it used to be huge movements but now he is obviously in such a tight space I get jabs down low and kicks up high under my ribs. He's never been a lazy boy, is so active, even now although the movements are decreased due to lack of space they are still coming thick and fast! I do think you know what is normal for your baby....some are just quiter than others xx

Don't worry hun, MW warned me about this last week for when I get 30+ weeks that it will be more rolls with the space being used than actual kicking x

my movements have slowed down a bit and are not as vigorous as they were i think they run out of room but midwife always sais to me ever in doubt ring, thayts what she there for.

Oh, im glad you mentioned this.
Ive been getting a bit worried, coz when I wake up in the night, for my frequent toilet trips, she used to wake up within a few seconds of me opening my eyes - now, sometimes I can get up, have a shower, etc, etc, and still not feel her!
Was going to mention it to the mw on thursday anyway....but I figured it would be relatively normal.
xxxx

Ive deffo felt a change in movements - he rolls around a lot more than he kicks now but he's still hyper!

Doesnt sound like anything to be worried about hun x

Yeah she's quite active this evening thanks girls :)

I think they go through phases of movement glad she has picked up hun x x
