ive decided to treat us to some new xmas decorations this year, a) because where they where stored before we moved was very damp & some of them had to be chucked out and b) cause it will be our first proper xmas in our flat instead of the place we where in before.

anyway - i need inspiration!! do you lot go with colour schemes? im thinking about getting some over the top hideously brightly coloured baubles and keeping it quite kiddy (seeing as xmas is 'meant' to be for them!).

something like this:

We usually have silver, white & blue but not sure this year as we're going to add more decs! x

Orange gold and red but over the years we have snook in a few santas and other more kiddie stuff, my tree doesnt have a branch bare!!

Oh and no tinsel, I hate the stuff :puke:

i had lilac and silver when i was at uni, with multi coloured fairy lights. and lots of tinsel all over my room lol .... classy i know, we aslo had paper chains when i had a house share ..how grown up

at home we have , gold, red, silver, lilac, normally have a fake tree in the conservatory and a real one in the lounge, although i dont know what they've got planned this year.

I have a white tree with pastel decs. I want a green tree though for the more traditional look but that'll have to wait til next yr now.

aww hun! do it anyway - the perfect excuse is that by December you just wont feel like doing it so unless he wants to do it then he should let you now! :D that was my excuse. Its soooooooo cosy!!

Mine is kind of ethnic/indian/the pier (shop) style, like oranges and deep purples and some gold. I have glass gems hanging off and a few child made things now.
