Had a bad morning on Monday...I have been putting off going to sort mine and James's passports out at the post office cos i hate queuing and the PO is always full of the blue rinse brigade and you have to wait for ages...
Well first school boy error was that i decided to go on a Monday which is pension day so the queue was out the door.. went to another one and it was shut, so the third one decided i best stay put.
45 minutes later and im still 5th in the queue. There is a tall, normal looking guy stood by me and I remarked to him how standing there was like being in purgatory...
Well I wish I would have kept my mouth shut....he only turned out to be a bit of a bible basher and then spent the next 15 minutes making comments like "we are all sinners in gods eyes and we need to prove ourselves worthy in his eyes" "we all deserve to be punished" "I dont believe in purgatory I believe in heaven and hell". "Jesus is among us".
I do not know how i managed to keep a straight face. It could only happen to me!!!
Then to top it off, when i got to the front of the queue, i was told that cos it was James's first application, i had left it too late and needed to go direct to the passport office in liverpool to get the passport there!!!
