Date from dating scan?

Hi all

This is probably a stupid question, but when they date your baby at the dating scan, is that meant to be from the actual date you got pregnant?

If so, mine doesn't make sense! I counted back the 13 weeks and 1 day that they said I was yesterday, but that means I would have got pregnant 3 days before my last period. I don't understand!?!

Or is the day you conceived still roughly counted as day 14 rather than day 1 as it is when dated from first day of last period??

Hey! It's with an added 2 weeks. So really only 11 weeks but in doctors terms 13. I had that problem too! Lol! X

Just looked at the date 2 weeks later - we were stuck in an airport with an 8 hour flight delay, definitely wasn't then! (not attempting to join the pre-mile high club or anything! Guess must be few days after that, weird how they work it all out isn't it!?

It's never really that accurate anyway... it's a sort of estimate My due date and my weeks are completely different, so I guess it's just to give you a rough idea x
