Dairy Intolerance?

since George has been having formula, he's never kept it all down. I put it down to it being new to his stomach but it's gradually getting worse. I've been thinking about it and he's also sick after having yoghurt. Usually anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes after. Same with formula. I'm going to book a doctors appointment but it's worrying me. Does anyone have any advice?
He is gaining weight ok, but then he eats a lot. Well i should say did. He now hates being fed and will only eat the tiniest amount when feeding himself. I have done a mix of blw and purees with him so he's confident with both and has been happy with this method up to now. I did the same with my daughter and she's never had a phase like this. He barely ate a thing yesterday, and what with throwing up all his bottles, he should have been starving today but won't eat :-S

Hmmm, could be an intolerance to lactose but I think that that would mean he was ok with yoghurt as yoghurt isn't too bad lactose wise.

It's more likely to be dairy. Could you try him with soya yoghurt/formula ? C&G do Infasoy and there are lots of soya yoghurts out there. That way you can see how he goes with those things.

didn't know there was other 'types' of formula. Where did you see that?

I know boots do infasoy etc.

Best go to your doctor, and see what they say, mabey you can get a refural to a pead/dietician. THEN the formula would be on prescription if you needed it... bonus.

Yeh the tescos and asda round our way do the infasoy as well. Boots also do SMA WYSOY which is similar.

If the doctor is no use and can't prescribe it then try bubs with it anyway - it's perfectly fine for them - people who want their kiddies to be vegan use it so it's all safe and everything

Well Green Bean is now fully on soya (soya yoghurts for pudding, soya formula for drinks and soya "normal" milk with his cereals!)

So far so good - most that has come up is a tiny little bit when DH winded him and that only happened once I am aware that it couldbe co-incidence but if it keeps up like this, he's staying on it

Although I have to say the "normal" soya milk stinks he didn't mind though bless him!

My Dillon was on Soya milk when he was younger! He did grow out of his intolerance by about 18 months so hopefully so will your little lad!!
