hi all

just sat here holding my LO and burst into tears! don't know if its the realisation setting in that he is actually here, or whether im scared i will do something wrong or what.

anyone else still getting emotional?

Aww hunni...we all have those moments inthe beginning...nothing to panic over unless you are sreiously feeling down.

You have just bought a beautiful baby into the world, add that to the fact that you prob arent getting as much sleep as you need and your prioritys have all completely changed, it's quite natural to feeling a bit weepy and overwhelmed!!!

Dont worry about doing things wrong! Im not sure if this is your first or not?) but I was always told...

'Your baby is just as new to all this as you are, you both learn together :) ' I think thats a wonderful way to think because it's soo true...if this is your first, your baby has never been someones baby before just like you've not been someones mummy before :)

Hope you feel better soon xxxxx

thanks hun.. yes it is my first but def want more!

feel better already :)

I've spent the last week in tears! No reason really just so overwhelmed I think and still in shock, feel like I should still be pregnant!

I was exactly the same hun, you have been through a lot your hormones are adjusting I found one day I just felt better out of the blue. They tell you about baby blues but they don't explain it well.
I'm sure you are and will be a great mummy.

hey hun, first few week after my lo was born i was really emotional and teary, and cried at the most random things! i think that it is perfectly normal! things will get better soon! hugs xx

I was an emotional wreck for the first few weeks after I'd given birth. Sometimes now I look at LO and feel so much love that I burst into tears! It takes a while for your hormones etc to settle down, added to that is a lack of sleep and the fact your life has completely changed overnight, it's no wonder you feel a bit teary. x

Afew days after giving birth, most women get baby blues. I cried for silly reasons but couldn't help it. I cried cos I had a pain up my bum! Lol x x

Hope it goes soon ! Take care Hun and try to relax

Xxx

I was crying randomly, especially in the middle of the night, for 3-4 weeks at least! It's hormones and being tired makes it worse but it'll settle down :D

I remember this from my 1st, but I tended to be...more over-emotional with stupid things, like if I couldn't find something i'd sit & cry for like 45mins or something lool or if baby wouldn't stop crying, i'd end up in tears, there was always a reason, given most of the time it was a stupid one.

Have to admit i'm not looking forward to it this time round, hoping its not so bad 2nd time!

:oooo:

I still get days like this hunni. Just last week, I arrived 1hr late for my DDs 2nd set of vaccinations cos I thought it was at 11am for some reason, but it was for 10am! I had to rush off to the surgery's toilets, and I just burst out crying, leaving my OH sitting in the waiting room with my DD while the receptionist checked to see if we could be fitted in! Oh the joys eh  x

just wanted to say thank you for this thread t keep crying and ws worried i had pnd
