Which is the best to use?

I have the palmers coconut butter is that any good?

Hi

Yes that is suppost to be good, i used it while pregnant with Kiara and never worked for me but does work for some.
My doc told me that some women are just prone to getting them and will get them either way.

I didnt use any in my first pregnancy and got loads!

I've got the same cream as you this time, whether it works or not I dont know!

oooh a new beauty product - got to have that!

Where did you buy it? and at what point are you meant to start using it?

I used palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks with my 1st and didnt get a single mark and was mahoosive lol! Will be using it this time round too :)

Ive been using Clarins Tonic Oil near the end, it smells DIVINE and is an aromatherapy oil so is very rich and nourising and totally safe for baby.

It is pricey but worth it!

I wouldnt bother shelling out money on pricey stretchmark creams. If your going to get them then their is nothing you can do to prevent it, however its handy to have a good moisturiser for if you do get them as sometimes they can get really itchy and moisturiser helps to ease the itch. :D

I got mine from Asda a huge bottle for £4. It has a lovely smell also.

I've got palmers cocao butter as well, and will definatly use it because i hate stretch marks so much and i'd die if i got them   I don't mind anything else but this ...

Hi

If yoru gonna get them theres no stopping them hun, think it just helps them not get too bad and helps with itching as well, just a nasty thing some of us have to deal with , i hate that i feel icky if someone asks to see my tummy i wont show no one :shakehead: \, except on here of course

Apparantley it doesn't matter what cream its the massaging in that stimulates the collagen. I have stretchmarks from being a teenager but was vigilant about rubbing stuff on my bump when pregnant, I didn't completely escape I have a small patch on my belly but this is because I didn't support my bump with a pillow when i slept. I am sure the rubbing helped, i used bio oil, cocoa cutter and olive oil :)

my mum said bio- oil.. helps but i really don't know myself..
just use them all

I think if you're going to get them, you;'e going to get them......but having said that there is no harm in keeping your skin well moisturised to reduce them or delay them?!

I think the best advise is cocoa butter for when you have no stretch marks, then bio oil reduces their appearance, so use that when you have got them!

I haven't got any yet..........but I think its only a matter of time before they appear! :wall:

I use palmers cocoa butter every day after my shower, and massage well into bump & don't forget bb's, thighs & bum too - as they are just as likely to get marked too!

i got some palmers for christmas from my sister - she used it throughout her pregnancy and didn't get any strecth marks... am using it already! though I have dry skin so I always fully moisturise after a shower/ bath every day anyway...

Palmers is what my friend used during her 1st pregnancy, she like u started using it from the moment she found out she was pregnant, She never got any stretchmarks.

However on her 2nd pregnancy she said she became lazy! and only used it now and again, she ended up being riddled with strechmarks and regrets not using it like she did on her 1st pregnancy.

Personally i think they either work or they dont all depends on ur skin types! Its same as cellulite cream, it sometimes works and sometimes dont, different for every person and their skin healing types.

I'm using the body shop cocoa butter stick that you just rub over and have bin using it since day 1, but like skatty I also have stretch marks from my teenage years but I'm hoping that where I've put on and lost weight again over the years my skin will already be elastic enough to cope!!! :rotfl:
