I am going to a full day wedding at the end of April...
I have a new dress

I really want to wear. With nude patent shoes, and I'd get some sort of nude fascinatior and bag.

But something's telling me to get a new dress as you have to wear a colour to a wedding?
So would you wear a cream dress to a wedding? Or not?
HELP!!!!

Yes x I don't see a problem with it at all hun xx nice dress too btw xx

Thanks! My mum thinks it's a terrible idea :( she's put the doubt in my mind :( x

It's lovely, I'd wear it, but maybe I'd jazz it up with hot pink bag, shoes and fascinator but that's only because I like pink. Xx

It's a lovely dress!

Could you maybe just ask the bride (or a bridesmaid?) if it's OK - just to double check! Some people get really funny about it whereas others don't care.

xxxxxxxx

I have to say I wouldn't wear cream or anything near those colours to a wedding but a few of my friends have. I agree, ask the bride x

I would ask the bride as i wouldnt have minded but i.have b&w dress so my request was no.b&w dresses.
2 ladies still turned up in b&w and tbh i was a tad pissed off.
You can accessorise it with bright things though

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I wouldnt just because it the first thing i think if i see someone in cream/white at a wedding is oh my days no. x

I agree, ask someone. I wouldn't dream of wearing cream or white to someone else's wedding, but I am very traditional. I just don't think there's any reason to, there's so many other colours in the world! Someone wore a dress similar to yours, but lace to my evening reception and it did annoy me a bit...possibly because I didn't like the person much anyway!

As someone else says, perhaps you could wear a different colour with it? Shoes, jacket etc?

I would ask MOB or bridesmaid, I personally wouldn't wear a cream dress to someone elses wedding.

It is a beautiful dress though :D

I don't actually know the bride to ask :( it's my OH's friend who is getting married.
I think I'll just look for a new dress... It's so hard picking outfit for a wedding :( there's lots of people going I know (girls) and all of similar ages, who all shop in same shops. And I don't want to spend a fortune xx

My sil and mother wore cream I wasn't happy ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361784425.584463.jpg
A picture of some of my guests.
I think adding bright coloured accessories is a good idea tho.

See it doesn't look right to me, they look like strange bridsmaids! I think there are so many colours why choose the only no no at weddings. Maybe with a bright Jacket and shoes bag it would look good but then it would be cheaper to buy a different dress.

I found this on boohoo.com for £12 in loads of colours it looks a similar style
