Crazily high HCG level

I just had my HCG levels checked today and I am 4 weeks 2 days pregnant which is awesome. However we were told we would need anything more than 100mu/l and ours came out at a shocking 2260mu/l. I'm a little worried this could be bad news 😕 Anyone else had this and carried on with a healthy pregnancy?

That's what I'm frightened it may mean. They said it could be a pregnancy abnormality, well developed fetus or multiple preg 😱

I had my hcg done on Monday there, at 6+1 they were looking for a result of 6000+, my result was 36851!!! Went for a scan on Tuesday to see one happy little bean in there! They told my high hcg doesn't always mean multiples.

Thankyou for the reassurance megsmeadow. Keeping my fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy however many are in there 🤣

Its supposed to double every few days at this stage. So it could be multiples, could also just mean that you're 4 -8 days further ahead than calculated. Happy and healthy 9 months to you! X

It's not that easy to miscalculate as it was our first round of IVF ( a frozen cycle as I went down the OHSS route at egg collection stage). I'm just praying it implanted a day or two earlier than they expected though 🙏🏻

Oh didn't realise you had ivf, they are usually pretty much know when they have concieved! Congrats on getting a positive in your first round. You must be thrilled! Xo

We absolutely are! On cloud 9! 😁💖 👶🏼 but don't want to get our hopes up too high too early xxx

Congratulations melmodz. I had first ivf in April and am now 10 weeks! I had high hcg at the start too and panicked as only had 1 put back. Had 2 scans now and there's definitely only one little one in there! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well xx
