Isla is 10 1/2 months old, still breastfed morning and night, but doesn't drink a great deal during the day, maybe 4oz of water. I've been giving her cows milk in food and cereal and she loves it! So I tried her with some Saturday, warm and she downed 4oz as well as her water throughout the day.

The hv said one year for milk, but then said it's okay if it's a few weeks early, 5 weeks isn't going to do any harm is it?

my gp said 1yr for cows milk to replace formula but 6 months as an ingredient or a 'drink' iykwim , madisons had it in a cup from 6 months xx

I put charley on cow's milk about 3 weeks ago instead of his formula. He has 3 8oz bottles a day.
I changed because he was throwing up every formula bottle I gave him and was desperate for him to stop being sick and since then he has stopped throwing up. The only time he's thrown up in the last 3 weeks was when I gave him a jar!
Cow's milk's done him no harm!

Lilly doesn't drink formula as she hates it but will drink cows milk quite happily. I started giving it to her at 9 months and no ill effects yet :)

my went off his formula a few months ago and was barely drinking anything! last week i started on cows milk and he has 8oz in the morning and at night! he seems to love it so much more. i dont think it can do any harm tbh!

Great! Thanks ladies! My husband can't tolerate cows milk, yogurt, cheese etc so am slightly wary. I have introduced it slowly over the past few months but noticed she loved to slurp her cereal milk!

im intolerant to dairy, and oh is celiac...touch wood marley has been fine with everything so far!!!! good luck!

all children are different so you just have to monitor, just because one child was fine doesnt mean another will be. My nephew got sick and upset stomach and then terribly constipated. Others Ive known were fine. Just keep an eye xxx
