So after my early scan last week I knew to expect miscarriage. I felt so low and prepared myself for the worst to come. I started to miscarry naturally on Saturday and everything has stopped now. I done a hpt this morning to check everything was clear but still a faint pos, how long will it take for the hormone to come out of my system? I was 7 weeks but only measuring 5.
The pregnancy wasn't planned but me and my partner were most definitely over the moon and ready for this! We would like to ntnp but heard different things on how long you should wait? Are we told to wait for at least one AF just because of dating or are there other reasons behind it?
Thanks in advance Xx

No advice but I'm sure someone will be along before too long with something much more constructive. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss xxx take care xx

Hi hun sorry for yoir loss. When had mine I was told I should test two weeks later amd when I did it was negative. They recommend waiting until af for dating but I wasnt emotionally ready at the time.

Hi, I have had 2 miscarriages and first I had d and c so I really wasn't ready for a while but nurse told me to wait for 3 periods but on the 3rd cycle I got pregnant again.
I did need that time to grieve as I really was traumatised!
The second one was natural and I waited for 1 period then started trying again but didn't get pregnant for 6 months after that.
The guidance varies because older women (over 30) have been advised to try whenever they feel and that there is no need to wait so surely that's the same for all women!
You do what's best for you. Xx

Sorry to hear that Daniellee

It took 2 weeks after my MMC at 12 weeks for the pregnancy hormones to get out of my system.

Technically the only reason nurses etc say not to try until first AF is for dating purposes but if you're ready to go again then there should be nothing stopping you xx

It took me 2 weeks also to get a negative test. I m/c at 11 weeks but baby stopped growing at 8. I was advised to wait for my periods to return before trying again but this was only for dating purposes. I told the doctor I didn't want to wait and he said as long as I felt mentally ready it was fine. Good luck hun xx

So sorry for your loss :-(

I've had 3 miscarriages and have 3 children. All of my children have been conceived the month following my miscarriages. Prior to my af arriving. My body just seems to work well that way. they do advise to wait a few months so that the lining of the womb can return to normal so the egg can attach properly. I only know this as I had to go for an early scan with my last pregnancy to check the lining thickness to determine if it was a viable pregnancy.
