Coughing

I really need some advice ladies

I have a terrible tickly cough and its driving me mad now every 10 mins im having a coughing fit

My throat is killing me from all the coughing and now i feel sick.

Its worse at night when i lie down so im not sleeping and now im really tired. I dont really feel congested so its not a full on cold as such but just this horrible cough.

Anyone know what i can take to help it go away please.

a drink of hot honey and lemon might help???

Try some Manuka honey and fresh lemon mixed with boiling water. It'll soothe and really help as Manuka honey has antiseptic properties.

Please don't think I am losing the plot but, Jamie has had a bad chest infection and has not had a min spare between coughing fits but I got a tip to rub vicks vapour rub on the soles of your feet and then put a pair of socks on, we have been doing this the last few nights for him and he has not stirred at all.......maybe you could give it a go. (I do sound a bit barmy, but it works through the night for him.)

It really does work, not sure how or why, but he has been so poorly and that has been the only thing that has soothed him

I'd never heard of it either till last week.

sucking a square of chocolate has been proved to be as effective as cough medicine...

Thanks ladies ive been to the shop and got some lemons they had no honey so will see how i get on with the lemons tonight.

Ive never heard that about vics before but will have to try that

yeah vicks is good on the soles on your feet. ive had a crappy cough for 10 weeks, and some one told me it probably wont go until ive had baby now only another 6 weeks then
