coughing so badly..

I have the last few weeks had a cough, and slight cold was really bad couple weeks ago but its back on again now for full, i havent slept 5 minutes last night as my throat is so itchy and its really awful, coughing and i need to run to toilet everytime i cough and i ended up crying this morning.. I know I am probably being a baby but just cant cope with this,. is it bad to have a cough or cold end of pregnancy_ going to doc today hopefully i can get some relief from this maadly itching..
