We've decided on a cotbed but just wondering if anybody can recommend somewhere that sells good quality sprung mattresses? Looked at Mothercare and John Lewis.......any alternatives??

Cheers girls :D

We bought a rather expensive one from Mothercare. Highly recommend it, cotbed matresses will have to last birth to what 4/5 years old type thing so well worth investing in something of quality and not just looking out for the cheapest type thing. Sleeping is so important with newborns and little ones so not the item to be trying to save money on in my opinion. I believe Mothercare, Boots, Mamas & Papas and John Lewis all do really good quality ones although a lot of ladies online swear by Kiddiecare - never personally used them but they seem to get a lot of good reviews and seem cheaper too.

We've ordered ours from Mamas & Papas - sprung mattresss with airflow something or other ...

Thanks for your replies.
Went back to Mothercare today, ordered the cotbed and the mattress. Ended up going for the top of the range pocket sprung with coolmax. Should get good wear out of it. Let's hope so :D

Oooh thanks Foxxi, didnt know they had a sale on. Been looking for a cot bed myself :)

Your welcome...

Be careful tho.... the one we got was only on the internet .. some of the stuff they have are only on the internet..and not in the store! :)

We got our Mamas and Papas cot bed off Ebay. It was a bargain £34 and is in excellent condition (see photo)

We bought the new mattress from Ebay too. Have a look in the general listings as they have a big choice. The mattress is fully sprung and was delivered 2 days after ordering. I'm really pleased with both items which altogether came to only £75.

WOW bargain! Its very nice ..well worth it! :D
