Coq1o or ubiquinol?

Like the title says ladies - what is best please?

haha i know why your asking this, same question i had when buying coq10. i was told there is no difference in absorption it but then if thats case why is it so much more expensive you know? so im eagerly following thread! B.O.L!

*edit* one i sent you has powder in side. if thats any help? thats what i took instead of the liquid form, same for husband. the powder is orange/yellow if i remember right.

I understand from reading ‘it’s starts with the egg’ that ubiquinol is the better absorbed version so the book recommends you buy that one.

When we tried it I bought coq10 but I believe ubiquinol is more easily absorbed. Very expensive though!

Are you getting it for yourself? When I got it both me and my husband took it. It's meant to be good for egg quality but also for sperm. No idea if it helped with my husband's results though.

I got some from amazon. £27 for 2 month supply. Not to bad i suppose.
It is for myself. The OH has it in hes supplement already and my supplement doesn't have it so thought i could try it.
Willing to bloody try anything now!!

Is there much in your OH's supplement? I seem to remember it was in the likes of Wellman but very little. I was at the willing to try anything stage so I got my husband to take it too as I'd read a lot about it having a role for both.

i agree, i think coq10 does have a effect on sperm & there is actually a study on crimson publishers. its why we added it to DH.

@chattychar1990 i think coq10 could be good for egg health but im not totally sure if im honest for reasons, i think most likely your not getting pregnant as nothing is getting there. i dont think you have any evidence yet that nothing is implanting as its not good enough etc? i would get a amh done, i know its not massively a indicator on quality but for some reason fertility clinics like it and i think it can be a indicator of likely egg quality.

What do you mean nothing is getting there?

sorry, like if its sperm issues its most probably because nothing is getting to egg so no pregnancy rather then lots of eggs fertilising and failing to implant.
unless you know you've 100% had chemicals i wouldnt presume its egg quality issues (which i think is a good thing to think)

15mg in the OH’s supplements x

I'm no expert but I don't think that's a lot. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will comment but I'm certain we were both taking more than that. Although I've no real evidence that it helped at all, like us it's more likely to be sperm issues that are against you so it may be worth considering whether he should take it as well. I had no reason to believe there were issues with my egg quality but I figured it couldn't hurt to take it as well.

agree this crimson page i mention says in their study the blokes too 200mg a day (or more possibly cant remember)! i like multivits as they are good for getting everything but some things just dont seem high enough to me personally. however its a lot better then wellmans that only has 2mg or something! 15 is a step up!
