Does anyone have a coorie pouch sling? Can you bf with it?
Does baby feel really secure and at what weight did you think it was getting a bit small.

Thanks peeps

Laura

And it's me again....

I still use my coorie and DD is over 18lb now (I think!), he either goes in facing outwards with her legs crossed or it's fab for a hip carry and saves my arm! (Will email you pic).

I haven't found it 'that' easy to bf in, much prefer a ring sling as you can loosen it to bf, then easily tighten back up :)

But my coorie is so quick and easy to use, love it :)

Ooooh and I forgot to say that she's always felt secure in a tummy to tummy upright hold :)

Thanks again Kina,
I might go back and have a look, the main thing was for bf while tending to jess so a ring might be better. Might get both  Im going to get a toy pouch sling for jess for her rabbits so we can be the same.

You're on a slippery slope with slings, they're addictive!

Petchy made me a gorgeous Mei Tai, it's the cream and gold satin brocade one, very nice and very secure. Am looking forward to trying it out with future babies!

Thats very swish. I could be spending a lot of stuarts money here!

i got a normal baby carrier for harley and i hate it, his head bobs about every where, i always carry him round shops in my arms belly to belly so maybe i would benifit from one :?

how much are they?

kina is the same type as the one you had a pic of your oh on the fathers day thread?

It is dangerous!! Though my MT from Petchy will be my one and only because Ella and I both get on with it really well. I am going to be selling my old fave (Babyspace Onbu) as this one is so much easier. My pink daisy coorie is my favourite quickie sling for popping her in if I'm in a rush, just pop it over my arm and head, hold the pouch open and in she goes. The ring sling was better when she was small for breastfeeding, but I am going to dig it out again for using in a hip carry.

That was the ring sling. Does Harley like being held close in tummy to tummy? If so then you might like a MT.

Ella loves looking out so likes it in her pouch aswell. I have a pic of us that DH took on his phone but I look well dodgy so have been so far refraining from posting it

lol post it,

yes harl likes being tummy to tummy i walk for ges like it. but i think when he gets a bit bigger he will prefer looking out,

are they expensive?

I'm holding my shoulder down for some reason, but you get the idea. This is from www.brightsparkslings.com and is a coorie. I know use it to carry Ella in a hip hold with her legs danging out and her bottom deep inside the pouch. She ends up with her bottom at the same height as her knees if that makes sense, then the pouch doesn't cut into her.

I think this one was about £20-25, but again can be used again and again, also can be sold on :)
My new MT was a bargain at £20 plus shipping, will get Matt to take some photos on his phone (my digicam is out of action at the moment)

Hi Laura

I've got the same coorie sling as Kina (from brightsparkslings). I sometimes bf Olivia in it up until she was about 3 months old, when it got a bit of a tight angle I just used to slip her legs out of the end then pop them back when she was finished (she instantly fell asleep in the sling as well).

Of course it's your choice but as the coories are all made out of fleece I think it might be too hot for your baby to start with (seeing as your due soon) so perhaps it'd be better to go for the ring sling?

Kina - DH always carries Olivia around in a BabyBjorn sling but finds it's getting a bit uncomfortable now she's 14 1/2 pounds - can the baby face outwards in the MT?

I have with Ella, I just fold the bottom part underneath to make the body smaller :D
