My LO is 6 and a half months, we started solids about 3 weeks ago and I am still BF. She was doing fine and has been eating root veg and sweetcorn. fruit and some baby rice and porridge. However over the last few days her poo has got harder and less frequent and today she has just passed 3 tiny little dry hard lumps. I havent noticed her straining but it cant be good. Anyone had this problem or know if there is something I can change in her diet that may help? by the way she does also have a few sips of water after her food from a cup,

I think this is very normal when weaning. Angel got it so bad that i had to help her poo. Just keep offering the water. I think her body just needs to get used to solids that's all.

My Lo had the same problem...my Hv suggested prunes and that worked. I bought the tinned ones in fruit juice, removed the stones and pureed them. They're :puke: but my Lo loves them!!!

Maia has had this a couple of times and I just give her weetabix for her breakfast and satsumas whenever throughout the day and I find it clears it. You could also try drinking fresh orange and eating prunes yourself as it will go into your breatsmilk and into LO that way.

i found reducing banana helped a lot in that department.
