I'm sorry, I feel I am always moaning today. I just feel that every time Chloe is awake she is crying and there is nothing I can do to soothe her. She is currently on Colief in her milk. I have a holiday booked for three weeks time that involves spending four hours on a plane and I am now getting worried that it is going to be a holiday from hell. What else can I do for her?

have you got a bouncey chair or playmat or anything that would distract her and get her to concentrate on the toys and lights?

I use the bouncy chair but I feel guilty keeping her in there so long, also this causes her to go to sleep and I am worried she is sleeping too much. Think I just worry too much.

Baby gyms with lights and distractions were good for me to amuse Sprog, but as far as colic goes, I don't have any magic advice - just lots of cuddles and relaxing yourself as much as possible too - and I know how hard that is. You're doing a fantastic job, and at the end of the day, if the plane journey isn't brilliant it's a means to an end - concentrate on the bit after the flight :D I know it's easy to say, but not to do (I just flew by myself with Sprog, and I was more concerned about what other people thought than upon enjoying the time with him, relaxing on the plane, etc). You may find the plane ride soothing for your LO - the vibrations and the noise can work wonders, honestly!

Thanks for the help. At last we seem to have worked out what the crying has been about, she woke last night and now has a really bad cold. Not nice but at least there appears to be a reason for her being so upset.
