Hello there, I'm 7+ weeks pregnant with my third baby and have been feeling sick constantly from about 5 weeks. I was quite sick with my first two so i know what bad morning sickness is.. but this is just something else entirely.

Does anyone know what it might be? I can't even walk to the shop without having to stop and take a rest and queuing up at the tills is a nightmare because I feel like I'm about to faint. I can't do anything I normally would do.

I know how important fluids are to a fetus, but when I drink I have to literally hold my hand over my mouth so it doesn't come back up, and most of the time it does. I'm trying my best.

I've rang my doctor and been told it'll pass.. but that's just not good enough advice to be honest as it feels like it's getting worse.

Has anyone else been through this?

This might be a little far-fetched.. but I think it could be related in some way? When I gave birth to my 2nd daughter I had retained placenta, not all of it came out after labour and I was told to take tablets to expell it. A day after i was discharged I was rushed back into hospital via ambulance during the night because I was being sick constantly and couldn't get up off the floor. The products that were left inside of me should have been taken out before I was allowed to go home. It could have caused blood poisoning. I was stuck in hospital for 5 days on a drip before they decided to give me a D&C. The products just wouldn't expell with the tablets they were giving me.

I'm thinking that maybe my baby isn't 'compatible' with my system now and that's what is making me so very sick and unable to keep up with my daily routine?

Sorry for such a long comment but I'm quite worried and I'd like to get some advice before I take this to the doctor again!

Thank you xo

Oh Hun, doctors are useless! I had the same problem with the placenta after giving birth to my daughter but I had an opperation straight away to remove everything. There's no way you should've gone home for it to pass. Unfortantly because my placenta was so deeply embedded and I lost slot of blood, I've been told by the midwife it will proberly happen again with this baby which I'm not looking forward too! As for the sickness, I've been very bad too, throwing up up to 6 times a day and the doctor didn't help at all. I've found sipping drinks helps alot and I've also started to wear anti sickness wrist bands and since wearing them I've not been sick! Highly recommend them!! I hope you feel better soon :)

dont worry about it i spend every day worrying about every pain etc, with ur 2nd pregnancy everything is different they say it is worse than first which is strange as u would have thought 1st was worse. each subsequent pregnancy is meant to be worse i mean worse as in maybe more cramps you can feel things more, worse sickness etc my pregnancy this time around is so different from my 1st which worried me but i keep reminding myself its all different, so maybe im having a girl this time.

anyways pretty much its normal and dont worry xxxxx

my friend had bad sickness for 9 months getting progressivly worse with each pregnancy go see your gp and get some help hun and hope you feel better soon xx

Thank you for replying, I've done some research and I think I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum which is excessive sickness in pregnancy. Going to my doctor today to tell him lol and I'm not coming out without some sort of tablet or decent advice.

Thank you, I'll buy some sea bands in town today xo

hey hun i was sic k all day every day till i had mine. i lost 18lbs though which was a great start to diet haha!! and baby weighed 8lb1 she got plenty xxx

Hope you get on ok at Docs today. I found that sea bands really helped me too so hopefully they'll give you a bit of relief, also sucking really sour sweets like sour cola bottles etc stopped me feeling nauseaous. Suppose anything is worth a try xx
