It would appear that Aimee may have conjunctivitis! Her left eye was 'gloopy' this morning. As the day went on it has got a bit worse, nothing major though. I had conjunticitis a few years ago and this looks very similar. I don't think it is bothering her as she is still her smiley giggly self.

Should I take her to the doctors on Monday if it is the same or should I just buy something from the chemist?

Not sure hun. I took Phoebe to the Doctor when she had it as she couldn't even open her eye.

We were given some anti-biotic drops that cleared it up V quickly. I had to use in both eyes so she didn't spread it.

I also cleaned it with cooled boiled water every 2 hours on the first day using a new piece of cotton wool for every wipe. Doc also said to wipe from the nose side outwards.

Hope it clears up soon

It is starting to look better, she can open her eye at least but I think I will phone the doctor tomorrow to get some advice at least and if they want to take a look I'll take her. Luckily the surgery is only a 10 minute walk.

Finn has conjunctivitis. It looks like snot coming out his eyes sometimes or like puss (nice...). His eyes aren't red like you'd imagine conjunctivitis to be but the best way to treat it is to keep the eyes clean with cotton wool and cool boiled water and we were told to get Optrex infected eye drops and use for 5 days.

We took him to the pharmacist who said it's not contagious (we thought it was highly contagious!) but doc said today that it is.
