Confusions

I was told to have a fertility blood test to check for my levels which i had done on the second day of my period. And its taken two months to get my results due to doctors arrogance and messing me around.They have now told me that i had to have it done on day 21. which is contradicting what i have been told. They said my progesterone levels on that day were 3.6 so is this normal for a day you are on your period. I have also been told to have another blood test a week before my next period which doesnt work as my cycles vary between 30-40 days so i wont know seven days before my next period. im all confused and have no clue. its bad enough been trying for 3 and a half years now now i need help im being messed about and told different things. think it may be a sign that im not meant to have children

It is hard knowing when to go for the tests. I've just had 21 day bloods done today but on.cycle day 23 cos I have a slightly longer cycle than 28 days. Just need cycle day 2 ones done now which should be a week on Monday. To be honest I know 21 day bloods show if you've ovulated but not too sure what cycle day 2 bloods show.

They test for a different hormone on day 2, I think its LH or FSH. And if you have a longer cycle you can ask for the 21 day test to be done a few days later. Good luck!
