Saw the MW yesterday, it was a return trip after finding a high level of glucose in my pee last week, they also took some blood. MW last week wanted to rule out GD since I'd had a pretty high sugar content in my lunch that day (girlfriends turned up with cakes and I did my pee sample shortly after so the extra sugar I don't normally have was still in my system). She did also say my bump was "quite large"

Yesterday I saw a different MW, told her why I was back and gave her the new pee sample. She said that was clear, and that nothing had come back as a problem with my bloods. Great news!

BUT

When she measured baby and bump she got worried. I'm 31 weeks, but my uterus is 33/34 weeks big, baby is 34 weeks big.

I wasn't worried, I was a huge baby (10lb 6oz, first n only kid) and my folks were big babies (both 9 lb+ first born kids), but even though I told her there is this history of big healthy babies she still wants to double check me for GD... and even though my pee and blood are fine. She rang a consultant there and then and changed my MW appointment next week to one with him instead.

Is there actually any real chance of me still have GD when nothing shows in my pee and bloods? Or does having a bigger than normal baby a sign of something else?

Anyone else going/gone through this??

It sounds like she is just being over cautious to me. I'd not worry too much because if your bloods and everything came back fine then it's unlikely you have GD.

Hope you get on well with the consultant though and get the answers you want whilst there.
