Im confused about braxton hicks :wall:

What do they feel like? should i have had them by now (22 weeks)?

Hi

They feel like:

Your tummy goes hard and you feel a bit of discomfort, not pain really and it's really hard to explain to be honest but the main thing is your belly goes kinda hard for a few secounds to a minute.

You may feel them at 22 weeks, I read something on the internet yesterday which says that they actually start at about 8 weeks of pregnancy but many mothers especially 1st time mums won't feel them until they are in their 3rd trimister but it's quite normal for mums especially those on their 2nd + pregnancy to feel them sooner and they feel them sooner on each pregnancy and they can become stronger with each pregnancy.

I hope that reasures you.

its hard to explain, but i thought of it more like a rubber band, the tension you feel when you pull one tight in your hands, its like that, but inside you etc. i dont know how to explain it lol

Thanks! I just wasnt sure if id ever had one and whether it was normal to not experience any at this stage. I guess it is though (with it being my 1st) xx

I've only just begun feeling them. At first i thought i was imagining it.
I think some people never feel them or notice them! So don't worry if you don't!
It's a weird feeling, like your tummy going hard for a few seconds for no reason. Not painful. Just strange!

Bellybump, your very good at explaining things!! :D
I tried to reply to this post earlier but couldnt figure out how to put it!!
Iv been noticing mine for a while now but only because Iv been preggy before!! They where really strong last night, I had to get up and move about cos i felt so uncomfy!

I never had them last time and so far I haven't got them this time either
