Hi Ladies

So i'm starting to retain fluid already at 25 weeks. My ankles turn to cankles everyday. Same thing happened during my first pregnancy, it' crappy.

Someone told me today that I should wear compression tights/socks all the time. I have socks for flying when pregnant. Is it safe to wear them all the time?

Rose.

Show you MW the swelling and get advice. I did use compression/support stockings by the third trimester during my last pregnancy. To be honest I used them during the day when the swelling got worse, particularly when I was at work. I didn't really wear them at night.

Using Tapatalk can't see no tickers grrrrr.

I would agree that youd need a break from them to allow your tissues to breathe and be normal at some point but you coukd try to dobthis in bed snd at home when you can try to elevate them, do ask midwife so they keep an eye on you

I was told by my midwife and consultant that I need to wear them for 20 hours a day! I've chosen not to wear them at all, but it must be safe to wear them all day if I was told to.
