Hello all

Just a question for you ladies who are lucky enough to have your wee bundles of joy, giggles & poop. Or you guys who are close like me...

When you got close to your due date did you have an upset stomach much?

I'm due in 10 days & keep getting the odd pain & stuff & little tightenings in my stomach but nothing that's made me rush to the delivery room, but for the past week I've not had a normal poop. I've had an upset stomach for ages! Did this happen to anyone else?

Do you think its just pressure down there or what?

Thanks in advance.

comming up to my due date all i done was poop for a full week (tmi sorry)
but the MW said it was my bodies way of getting ready for delivery

good luck

I had constipation and piles as he engaged and oh boy was it painful. One morning we went for a walk and I had pain in waves so I thought they might be contractions and I really paniced as it was very very painful. I went to lie down and the pain went so I knew it wasn't labour. Thankfully my actual contractions were nothing like the pain of piles- it sounds crazy but the contractions are a better kind of pain and of course you get gas and air for them anyway and a lovely baby which makes it all better. Sorry- I'm off the point but I suppose I mean that yes your body and especially bowels do do weird things just before labour. My mum thought my little brother coming was a dodgy pie!

When I actually started contractions I threw up everything in my tum which is also totally normal apparently, it felt like a good spew though rather than an ill spew- think of it like your body knows you are about to run a marathon and knows that it doesn't want to have to think about doing anything other than push that baby out. I found the strangest thing about labour was the feeling that your body knew what it was doing, like the more basic animal nature just took over and did the job without my brain having anything to do with it.

Good luck hun, hopefully it won't be long until you've got that little babe in your arms :)

The week of Charlies birth i was constantly pooing although it was normal. I couldnt believe one person could produce so much!!! the thursday of that week my little angel made his arrival into the world.

Thanks. My mind feels a little bit eased now,

even though I woke up this morning and can hardly move my legs. They ache SO much it's as if I'd had cramp in both my thighs & my calves.

I dont know weather its just the extra weight I'm carrying or probably the amount of trips to the loo I;m taking! lol

I've been getting cramps too, right up at the top of my legs, pain in the butt isn't it!

I had all the tingles and a few days b4 i had him it was constant twinges down there and alot of leaking! But that might be because i didnt no that my back waters had gone i had him a day after my due date x

its usually a sign your labour might be soon, as some peoples bodies tend to " clear out " by either vomiting and or diarrhoea to prepare for when you go into labour

:D

they say it is your bodies way of getting ready for labour :D
