combining names

I think i posted this when pg with alice but i really can't remember. A conversation i had with my sister today sparked my memory.

She is reading a book where a girl has given birth to a baby that is half human half vampire or something ( ) - anyway, to name the child she combined her mothers name and some other person in her lifes name.My sister then turned around and said why don't we do the same.

Well im Sam, and my OH is adam. take the 1st two from me and the last three from adam........... I don't think i will be naming my child SADAM....

or if we take the first two from adam and last two from mine = ADAM

Don't think there's much you can do with our names: I'm Rebecca and OH is Christopher....

My mum wanted to do this with my Gran and my Granny's names Kathleen and Sara and call one of us Kara but my dad was having none of it!
