Hi I know some ladies on the forum have used these granules and I was wondering if they would work for leorah's trapped wind? She doesn't get it everyday but when she does I can't bear it, I hate seeing her in pain. I also wanted to ask do you have to give it 30 mins before a feed because she is not on a set schedule so this could be difficult. She usually gets trapped wind in the evening but she has had it in the daytime and the middle of the night too and has woken screaming. I have been using infacol but even with this I have been finding it hard to wind her at night as she just falls asleep.

Thanks :)

have you tried infacol??? madi sometimes has bad wind an i think it works wonders

Hiya,
I think the colocynth would be great for her trapped wind. I cant prase it enough, it really helped me during those first few weeks when Joes colic was really bad. I used to give it during a feed or after. I didnt know any different. I used to lick the end of my pinkie, dab some on and then put it on his tongue. Ive got to be honest  , it cured trapped wind for me too. He used to fart like a trumpet after getting it. Maybe an hour or so later.

Good luck, it was a marvellous thing.

I will definitely get the granules thanks Laura, they sound fantastic. I can order them Monday and they will be here Tuesday, I can't wait. I must admit when I read through people's stories of colic I feel like I shouldn't complain as it isn't even every night but I just can't bear to hear her cry in pain. The grizzley cry annoys me but the pain cry breaks my heart and she always looks at me as if to say "please help Mummy!" :D

Hev I do use infacol and it used to be great but I am crap at remembering to give it before a feed and it isn't very effective unless you remember :wall:

also Leorah has started trying to spit it out! She used to love it :?

Hi Laura, we managed to get some colocynth but it is in little round balls so I have been crushing them and putting them on her dummy. It has been two days and tonight is the first night we have hardly had any wind trouble :cheer:

I hope its not a fluke as she is in bed at 8.30pm which is a miracle as she doesn't usually settle until about 11pm!
