I have the worst headcold ever
Just wondered if there was anything I could take as everything I read says I can't take it :x

just paracetamol im afraid,

try hot honey and lemon and i also used vicks which is safe

onto my 4th cold this pregnancy

You can buy tea from holland and barrotts lemon and ginger, and can add honey to it. It's amazing ha! X

ginger- grate it into boiling water, add honey and slice of lemon - tastes delicious and good for headache - I just got over flu myself.

Apparently, according to my midwife, you aren't allowed honey! Something to do with the pollination. I think its nonsense but just thought I'd mention it. I had honey last pregnancy and my wee one turned out fine! I also have a cold and a 1 year old with a cold.... And worst of all a husband with a cold! Xx

I haven't ever heard of not having honey before! It's not on the NHS list of things to avoid so I'm going to assume its safe :)

As I said.... The midwife said and I thought it was silly. Apparently its a new thing and will be listed but just thought I'd mention it.... They are the ones in the know... :)

How strange! Sometimes I do wonder if we should just wrap ourselves in cotton wool and not go outside for all the risks... but you're right. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry :)

Oh hell no I'm with you! I had a smoked salmon sandwich, a craving, the other day and wondered if I would drop down dead because of it... I was fine clearly! I also got told my my health visitor that the runny eggs thing is more Europe but we jumped on the band wagon... If it has a lion on the Egg, its fine. You really get punished in pregnancy haha!
