my nappys arrived today. ive bunged them in the washer before use as instructed :D

1. what does everyone use to soak their nappys in?

2. does everyone use a paper liner as well as a fleece washable one?

3. Do you wash the wraps as often as the nappy or can they be used more than once?

im sure ill think of more questions later

1) Your nappies don't need soaking, I dry-pail (leave 'em in a bucket until there's enough to wash) mine.

2) Paper OR fleece liner. Paper is good because obviously you can just flush it away but tends to go up baby's bum so more gets on the nappy. Fleece is good because it helps baby feel drier but will need washing.

3) Wipe the wrap with a baby wipe and use again unless it gets poo on it. I use one, maybe two wraps a day usually :D

Keep 'em coming

thanks minxy  - im so glad i don't have to soak

my nappys are on my drier now - im going to finish them off in the tumbler to make them fluffy then ill pop one on Rachael for tonight  i know it sounds sad but i can't wait

Hey Budge

1. the nappies don't need soaking hun, they wash up fantastic

2. I just use the fleece washable ones and bung them all in the bin together. No need to scrape off at the mo because of runny breastfed poo

3. You can normally use the wrap a few times but sometimes they are leaked on as well.

Just a tip; I use a little white vinegar in the wash to try and soften the nappies a bit as they can become quite stiff.

Enjoy :D

What everyone else said :)

Also if your nappies are getting stiff then stick them in the dryer for 15 mins on the low setting and they will be all fluffy again. Also every month try to wash them through in the washer without any powder it helps to rid them of any build up and keep them really absorbent :)
