I don’t want to upset anybody and I understand there is plenty of people who have been ttc long term in here but I was just wondering if anyone has experience of clomid? It has been 3 months tomoro since mmc and I have had one cycle in that time. After researching it would suggest that I am not ovulating with my cycles being so long. I was going to go to my gp but was just checking if anyone has any experience? Tia x

Havent had any experience with clomid rach but hopefully someone has abd can advise you better than i can. X

I've done 7 clomid cycles if you want to ask anything?

How long were you ttc before your mmc? MC can mess with your cycles, after both my first and second I had to have a bleed induced to reset mine, I would suggest that would be your first course of action to ask your gp for.

I got pregnant on every round of clomid, But lost them all!
Im sure its not related though. I guess it works for some x

Thanks so much snowbee! I tried last year for four months and only got a period after four months. Stupidly I got scared of any issues there may be and went back on the pill. I then got pregnant in July after being of the pill 1 week which ended in mmc. I’m aware they won’t give me clomid yet but was just wondering if anyone knew how long before they would or is there something else they/I can do x

I’m so sorry lulla that is horrible. I hope u r progressing with ur adoption journey x

In the uK the Gp has to refer you to the hospital and they start the clomid. I am on my their cycle !

I no I wouldn’t be eligible for clomid anytime soon. When they done a internal scan to confirm no hb they checked my ovaries and said they were good so I’m guessing if there was cysts or anything they would have seen this? I just feel like I’m in limbo and not even getting a chance to ttc if I’m not ovulating. I’m going to make a doctors appointment and just see what they say x

Your gp might offer you bloods to see if you are ovulating but they might also tell you to wait as it hasn't been long since the mmc. It's worth a visit to the gp at least to see what they say xx

Normally though the gp won't offer any help until you've been ttc a year (or 6months if you are 35+)

Hello We've just found out a couple of days ago that we've been accepted to start the process! Its about to get crazy busy for us :D x
Good luck too you xx

While you would most likely not be eligible for investigations at the moment I would still go and get your journey so far documented with them. Also they should offer you something to induce a bleed if you have not had one in a while. My GP is willing to do this if I go three months without bleeding. This may also then kick start your cycle.

Thanks Millie I think u r right just go and see what they say. I suppose I’m just looking for them to say it’s normal and it will all work out in time x

Thanks snowbee I think I will do that and at least it’s down on my notes x

That’s amazing lulla and so quick :) I hope it all goes smoothly and please keep us updated. I think u had a mc around the same time as me x
