Clomid and endometriosis/Luteal phase defect?

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone on here who has endo and has taken clomid?
I really have a feeling that I have a luteal phase defect, I have all the signs of it. I have been telling the professionals this for some time but they have said they don't think theres a problem.

These are the signs;

Symptoms of luteal phase defect may include:

• More frequent periods
• Miscarriage
• Difficulty getting pregnant
• Spotting in between periods

It also says it can happen when you have endometriosis so to me its likely.

I have read that clomid is one of the treatments for it but it can make endo worse, is it worth the risk in order to possibly get a successful bfp? Me and my OH are thinking it might be worth a try but wanted to get some other opinions and thoughts on it and hopefully the experience of others in the same boat.

If you have tried it did you have more pain after using it? any success with it etc?

Can a GP prescribe it? xx

Sorry I cant offer much advice but didnt want to read and run.

I suffer from endo and have done for about 4years. We where given clomid due to myself not ovulating due to previous surgery resulting in loosing an ovary leaving me basically infertile by not ovulating.
The month I was due to start the dreaded clomid, ive heard it has some nasty side effects,was the month we got our miracle BFP after 16months of trying.

I hope the clomid works for you if you decide to go down that route. I personally was willing to do anything to get our baby, its your body hun only you can decide but im also a firm believer in if its meant to be then it will happen, I proved that

I do ovulate and we have got pregnant 3 times but I have miscarried each time which I have wondered if was due to an issue in the luteal phase. I am thinking that if it doesn't happen in a few months then it may be worth a try. That's providing the GP can even prescribe it or are willing.
If they don't help me then I am considering going private for a consultation to see how they would approach it xx
