have been using the clearblue digital ovulation tests & this month i have still not had a smiley face. Im on CD15 today, regular 28 day cycles.

Its wierd as on CD14 when i took the stick out the test line was getting really dark (nearly as dark as control line) so thought i would get positive today. But when i tested this morning there wasno smiley face & the line had become a lot fainter (hardly visible).

Has anyone experienced this before? I dont understand!!
Thanks
Jen xx

I didn't get a smiley the first time I used clearblue, although I think I got frustrated with them and stopped too early.

Since using the clearblue dual-hormone tests, I got my solid smiley (i.e. LH surge) on CD 17 for a 29 day cycle, then CD 20(!) for a 30 day cycle.

For you, it might be possible that the surge is coming in the next few days and you might have a shorter luteal phase?

I'm no longer a fan of the clearblue tests and they are too expensive anyway. I'm going to switch to cheapie OPKs so that I can see that line progression during my cycle :)

Thanks for you reply :)

When i have used them before iv always got a smiley face which makes this time a bit strange!

I agree, they are very expensive! Thanks for the advice, il keep testing for the next couple of days & see what happens!!

Ive had exactly the same issue this month and back in December! This time I waited till I got home from work, repeated the test and got a solid smiley face... I think it’s because the control line hadn’t finished developing when it read it the first time so it thought the whole thing was void

I was thinking maybe i hadnt ovulated but then on CD15 i had a bit of pinky coloured discharge & then there was more of it on CD16/17 (especially on CD16 after we had sex sorry tmi!) like pinky/brown a bit egg white texture on CD17. I tested the whole way from CD9 to CD19 with no positive OPK. They were all negative.
So i dont have a clue whats going on :(
I feel like there is no hope, i had a MMC last Nov after it took us a year to conceive. This is my 5th cycle since & still no luck :(

Am wondering if your test is dodgey. I get a flashing smiley and the second line is almost invisible. Are you testing first thing in the morning? If the lines are both dark, definitely dtd today. I would get some cheap non digital tests too to check.

Its so wierd as whenever i have used them before have always had a smiley.
I use them in the morning. I gave up testing on CD19 (today is CD22) as i had been testing since CD9 so had used the whole pack!
AF is due next week so see what happens but im not very hopeful! xx
