Ladies how accurate are these tests at picking up a BFP before AF is due or should i say when's the best time to test with these?

i wouldnt use FR ive heard they are rubbish hun

How about clearblue how sentsitive are they? the digi and the ordinary.

I used both - I got BFPS with tescos own brand at 9DPO and the lines were very faint bought a frer and got a clearer darker line at 10 dpo, did clear blue digi at 11 dpo and it was positive too.

Rar this is bugging me the lines on the cheapies are faint but there the digi i took was BFN so im getting baffeled :?

My doctor recommended both ClearBlue and First Response, and told me not to test with any other brands. First Response stats suggest that they are slightly more sensitive - they claim something like 80% of pregnancies detected 4 days before the period is due, whereas ClearBlue claim just over 50% detection rate at the same time.

My doctor's surgery uses ClearView, which is the professional/trade name for ClearBlue (the domestic name). Obviously they consider it sensitive enough.

It's probably too early to test if you are only on CD21. Personally I don't trust the cheapies cos they always gave me evaps...I used Sainsburys own when I got my BFP and it was really clear.

I used sainsburys own early response and got faint BFP 3 days before... each day it got stronger! I also used sainsburys own ovulation kit (and got pregnant first time i used it) i'd tried many cheap ones from internet before...

I would agree with that, as they took so long to pick up this BFP.. however, I used them with Isaac and they picked him up straight away, so it may be different pregnancies prefer different tests?
Clearblue digi's are harsh, there's no ifs or buts with them, so I'd always save them until you have a dark line on a previous test personally

The Clearblue packet says:

1 day before period due: 95% of pregnant women will get a + result
2 days before: 90%
3 days before: 82%
4 days before: 51%

So as you can see, you really need to wait until at least 2 or 3 days before AF is due, so like 12 to 13 days past ovulation, and then there is still a 10 - 18% chance that if you are pregnant it is not showing as +

Hope that helps.
