My little man loves his milk, he feeds really regularly and is a little chubby man.
I enjoy feeding him and he smiles through his feeds which I love.

His eyes light up when he smells milk approaching and he can't get it into his mouth quick enough but the problem is that he guzzles and chokes every feed! He chokes, catches his breath then feeds again. Sometimes it's a little splutter (spraying me with milk!) sometimes it's a full on choke.
Any ideas how I can stop this? I've tried changing position with no luck.
Maybe he's just a guzzler :) x

Harry does exactly the same thing! Guzzles like I'm going to take it away from him! I will b watching this thread xx

I'd guess that you've probably got a quick flow and a very efficient little man! Maybe try hand expressing some first - obviously not ideal every time he needs a feed. X

Or maybe try nipple shields?
Xxx

I'd rather avoid shields if I could, he's a great feeder apart from the guzzling x

Alex does this too, almost every feed these days. It really freaked me out the first couple of times he did it, but I've got used to it now and just sit him upright if it lasts for longer than a few seconds. Silly guzzly babies need to slow down a bit!

My LO does this as well cos. She guzzles as if someone is going to take it before she does! I think I have a fast flow to begin with as I have noticed when she comes off sometimes the milk just keeps flowing and we've had a few instants where she's been squirted in the eye with milk! lol

My LO does this too, not great when he's choking but i love seeing him feed so well and with such gusto... They're so cute.. I have no advice, sorry. xx
