Just wondered if anyone has had success with cheapies either from Amazon or wherever when testing before af was due? More thinking to help with the poas addict but is it really only worth holding out and using a frer?

What tests have you used and got positive, and how many dpo...?

Yes! Got a very very faint positive on one at night on 9dpo. It was slightly darker every day (I had a million so decided to use them all lol) but stayed pretty faint until I missed my period. I used the FRER the morning of 10dpo and it was also faint but clearly there.

I didn't have any positive in the One Step but just on the FRER but ended up to be a chemical, so I don't think I am a good example

In my second pregnancy I got a faint line at 9dpo and this pregnancy I got a faint at 10/11dpo.

They do detect hcg early, the only issue I find is determining if its a line or evap. I don't think they put enough dye in them to make them clear enough, so your often left wondering. Then rush out to buy a decent test anyway.

But for a POAS addict they are OK xx

Yep i used the one step ones for 5 days straight and the line got progressively darker. Didn't even use a frer. Use a digi 3 days after my missed period.

I got my bfp at 11dpo, so 3 days before AF was due <3

Thanks ladies, that's all quite interesting. I have some, they came with my opks. If I decide to use them then I'll keep an open mind. Will also order frer as no shops arou d here seem to sell them which is annoying

I found cheapies to be very reliable as long as your not looking for invisible lines etc. I used them and always had negatives (I did also look for lines in hope and got lots of evaps). When I finally did fall pregnant I tested the day before and got very clear and consistent lines on all the cheapies. They would have picked it up a few days before if I had tested then. Confirmed the next day with clear blue cross and digi, there wasn't much difference between the strength of the cheapie line and CB line :)
If the cheapie doesn't show a line within time, bin it and don't look at it again like I always did lol!

For my bfp in February my ic was positive at 12 dpo, day before my period.

Today I’m 12dpo and there wasn’t a sniff of a line on the ic and it was pretty clear on the FRER and came up quickly. I am one day behind on implantation this cycle though.

The last batch I bought look infinitely cheaper than the first batch even though they are all supposed to be one steps.
