Cervix prodding

Ok so I'm normally squeamish when it comes to this subject but I'm booked for a sweep next Tuesday and just wanted to have a fumble to see whether my cervix has moved down yet (and possibly have a go at a DIY sweep jobbie).

Since I'm clueless about what I should be feeling for can anyone enlighten me? And how far up should I expect to go? I know there was a thread about this a while ago now which had a diagram and everything but I can't find it.

I think Tilly said in a thread earlier that you can usually feel the hardness of the babies head.

I am quite clueless how how to know what to feel for and if you can reach it yourself lol

It kinda feels soft like your lips - well thats when it soft, otherwise its a hard bump like the tip of your nose. It feels also a bit like a doughnut, I think thats where mine is slightly open

Id stick one leg on the bath and just gently have an explore see what you can find! You can feel babys head if it is engaged or low enough, it will be a hard lump. Apart from that I cant really tell you anything else
