Hi all,

Having had my two false positives a month ago follwed by plenty of bfn have decided to go to gp symptoms include - knackered all the time , i am currently in bed as i write this!, feeling sick and bloated as of a few days ago, really bad reflux last three weeks.

apart from asking for a blood test to get a definite answer does anyone have any other questions i should ask ? only been trying 3 months but mum and sister have pcos - do you think they will do a scan if i ask without waiting the usual year given history? thanks in advance

Orr hun know how u feel, I'm goin docs tomorrow as this mnth I had two faint positives followed by lots of bfns. Now heavy bleeding, miscarriage in Feb so fearing this is another. Keep us updated as to how u get on, good luck xx

So sorry about your miscarriage hope your appointment goes ok. I just wish I knew either way -limbo is killing me!

hey tosca, im cd 51...so frustrating isnt it. im getting bfn's too but getting pg symtoms.
i went to gp and coz iv only been trying since july she basically said its early days etc etc so be firm with ur gp xxx

So I went to gp told him about the two positives and many negatives and my concern about sis and mum having pcos. He's not convinced but has done bloods for glucose, full blood count, fsh , lh and bhcg so at least when they come back its a starting point. Will post result when i get them!

How will I know what lh and fsh should be when we dont know where in cycle I am?

That is the problem. I still haven't had a bleed since the tests. The bfp was over four weeks ago. Every other test is bfn. I said to him I was concerned it may have been a blighted ovum or something similar as I still haven't bled and he dismissed the idea saying if the bhcg came back neg then it was likely just a false pos . He said the Family history of pcos means they will do bloods and scans earlier to diagnose pcos rather than having to wait a year of ttc as I the only symptom I have is no period in 3 months (since implant removed) but usually they put it down to the implant being removed and body adjusting .
