Hi ladies,

Last cycle I had strong left sided ovary pain for several weeks. This coincided with a positive HPT and I had investigations as Dr thought my pregnancy was ectopic. It ended in an early miscarriage sadly.

I am today on CD 22. I confirmed ovulation with OPKs and monitoring CM but today I've started with strong left ovary pain again. Feeling pretty down about it. Wondering if this is ovulation pain which means I'll be ovulating from my left on two consecutive months.

I have an ultrasound scan on Monday morning to see what's going on but bloody hell :(:(:(

I also just did the math. If I continue having 40 day cycles we'll only have 9 chances a year to get pregnant as oppose to this with a "normal" cycle length of 28 days having 13 chances.

Want to get in bed and have a big cry xx

Hi Hun,

sorry to hear about your mc hope these pains arent the same as before. sending you hugs and hoping the ultrasound is ok on Monday xxxxxxx

I am starting to think this is ovulation again and the pains are worse becuase of cysts. I can't believe I have to wait over three weeks just to ovulate!

I'll be back here on Monday. Really hoping they tell me something at the scan but imagine it'll be back to the Dr and oll have to wait xx

Ask them what they see on the scan. Apparently they HAVE to tell you providing you ask.

Perfect. I plan on wording it "Can you explain to me what you're seeing please?" & that way she will likely start telling me "this is your left ovary .. etc" and hoping that will open her up to talk to me more.

I've been googling scan images of different problems so that I can try and identify it myself but that's a recipe for disaster! Xx

When I hd my ultrasound to identify pregnancy and then subsequently if I was miscarrying they were very helpful at explaining what was on the screen. She said she'd scan in silence to start to concentrate and then she showed me everything after so definetely ask if they don't stay anything as they know what they are looking at

I always ask what it all is because they don't look how I imagine them too ha! My ovaries are fuzzy (PCOS) so I never know what the heck they are! if I ever do get a BFP I know I'll have a Rachel from friends moment at my scan lol

Starting to feel nervous for tomorrow. I've just finished my tea so going to get in bed and watch a film with OH. No DTD tonight!!!

Scan is all done . Wasn't as bad as I expected but I'm none the wiser :(

She had a real dig around and I could hear her taking a LOAD of snapshots but she wouldn't tell me anything :( feeling really saddened. That she'd say "all seems okay but Dr will confirm" kind of thing. Feel a bit short changed. Like I've been working towards this day for 6 weeks and nothing. I've still got to wait.

She said it'll likely be around a week before Dr has results. I could crawl from hospital to the GP woth the results in less than a week!
