CB opk dodgy?

I've been a big fan of CB advanced opk for the last few months, but this morning after seeing the solid smiley I decided to open it up and look at the test. The line was nowhere near as dark as the test line - there was barely any change from yesterday. Now I am very suspect that this is accurate. With cheapie strips both lines are the same darkness and it's usually very clear.

It's nice to have the estrogen test too but to be honest I can tell when my estrogen is high anyway as I get anxious and snappy. So having nearly run out of these I'm thinking maybe I won't spend another 20 quid on them for next month. The whole digital thing is so reassuring but now I am questioning how accurate it is.

Doesn't really matter as we are dtd every other day from day 9 through to about day 17 this month and I temp too.

Has anyone else found this? What do you think?

Hi Sunflower. I used these this cycle. I didn't think to take it apart but now I'm thinking I should have. I'm in the dreaded tww. I was chuffed I had a static smiley face this cycle too, but I think I was too reliant on waiting for that and timed dtd around this. Now I'm thinking I should have continued dtd fir a bit longr? Very misleading and especially when u pay so much for them. Ggrrr...

Yes, the first time I used them I also used the cheapie strips and the strips gave me a positive the day after the CBs. I thought they must be wrong but now I'm not sure. They give the illusion of being all technical but it looks like it's just 2 line test, which I think is better judged by eye. The estrogen test is useful though, although mood and EWCM indicate that anyway.

Omg! I know i am evil around ovulation. Which is a pain in itself cos it's even harder to dtd when your in a mood and being completely unreasonable over the silliest of things!
Thanks for the advice tho. I'm going to get some cheaper opk's next cycle and see how that goes. Oh will be happy as I make him buy the opk's

Ive been use cb too and didnt get solid this month even though had a definate positive opk...i think once ive used this batch i wont be buying anymore as not been very impressed!

I used cb for 1st 3 months but changed to the one step cheapies as being in this for the long haul it's affordable and I can test loads and they have worked for me every month showing ovulation

After all that I got really strong ovulation pains about 14 hours after the questionable 'peak' result!
