CB Digi OPK's Vs IC OPk's

CALLING HELP PLEASE!!

Ladies...... I got my first flashing smiley this morning. I was so excited I almost screamed looool! But I need help, does this mean I , every other day still until my solid smiley comes and then do the 3 days in a row malarkey?

I think I might start with my coneive plus tonight too all the way through to ov!

I also did a IC OPK this morning it was completely negative, how strange is that!!!!

ALSO.... what do i put down on FF - do i put 'high' for my opk as i got a flashing and then when it hits to solid smiley it is 'peak'?

I'm not sure if this is right as my time with Clear Blue was pretty short lived!! I thought that the Clear Blue measured something else on the high fertility days as well as LH on peak fertility which is what the cheapies measure. So on the high fertility days it would be possible for a cheapie to still be negative as the point of Clear Blue is to make you aware a bit earlier. When it shows peak fertility then I would expect the cheapie to also be positive. I hope that makes sense and someone will correct me if I'm wrong!!

I would still do every other day until peak as you could have high fertility for a number of days before your peak. Also no harm in starting Conceive Plus as it can only help get sperm ready and waiting.

Can't help with FF as I never used it.

Glad it helps. The cheapies worked really well for me once I understood my cycle and what they were measuring. We were trying for so long that Clear Blue would have cost a fortune and wouldn't actually have added anything over the cheapies. I don't see the harm in using Clear Blue to help understand your cycle but once you do and assuming it's regular, I think it's less stressful and cheaper to trust your body.

As we ended up long termers, I had far too much to obsess about that being able to trust my cycle was actually one less thing to worry about. Everyone is different but I couldn't have tracked obsessively long term. I do emphasise though that I had a very regular cycle so was very comfortable with doing that. I used cheap OPKs and logged length of cycle and that was all in the end.

Im sure you might have gotten your static smiley by now but it sounds like you started testing too early.

I’ve had cycles where I go straight from negative to static smiley and others where I get 1 or 2 flashing smileys before the static.

If you ovulate on cd14 normally then you really only need to start testing from cd11 or 12.

If you plan on using them on another cycle and still want to test early maybe use cheapies to begin with x

I went by the leaflet and it told me to start testing when I did but looks like I am ovulating later than I did last month. I am on my 4th day of flashing smiley so hoping for a solid very soon. I only have 1 test left though ffs. Looks like I’ll have to buy more xx

I listened to the leaflet too the first time I used them, burned through tests wondering why I didn’t even have a flashing face.. read others experiences online and you really don’t need to test as early as they say. If anything it stressed me out that cycle and now I only use a few test sticks a month.

After 4 days of flashing smiley the static one can’t be too far away x

I use the cheap ones until I see a positive on them then I use the clear blue to confirm it. It has worked the past 3 months. My friend gave me her old clear blue with the left over sticks, they are expensive so I only test with that when I get a clear positive from the cheap ones, I like the added insurance of seeing the face. I am good now with reading the cheap ones so once I am out of sticks on clear blue I won't buy more.
