car seat laws - good link

Thanks for the link, thats a really good site for info.

We have had such a dilemma with Charlie as he was outgrowing the rear facing seat at 6 months old and although his age was low for a forward facing Group 1 seat he met the weight requirement of 21lb or more so we had to consult the HV who suggested that if he was able to sit unaided and stable 'alone' for a minimum of half an hour then we could make the decision of whether to transfer him. He has always had really strong back muscles and excellent head/neck control...even from a few weeks old he was lifting his head to have a nosey round the room....and he is absolutely brilliant in the front facing, although we have left it tilted back as it has 4 recline settings. Only problem is whenever we remove the straps to take him out of the seat he sits forward...he is such a little monster
