Just enjoy it......
I had to drink a pint of liquid an hour before the appointment (2nd time I drank it on the way as an hour before was way too long and I was so desperate to pee it hurt).
Some people have blood tests etc done at the same time, but other like me have these done by the midwife!
Look forward to seeing the photos.

Ooh enjoy it, i think seeing your baby for the first time is the most exciting scan. Drink lots of water before hand. Whether you need to bring urine, have blood taken will depend on whether you see your mid-wife at the hospital or in the community. I see mine at the GPs so get all my blood taken there. i arrived and got my bounty pack and my notes for me to fill in mine and OH's details and stuff then got taken through for my scan and saw bubs and heard her heartbeat (or his, im too used to writing her lol) then went back to sit outside and te midwife took me in alone asked alot of questions about domestic violence etc etc and then my mum and OH were brought in and she took blood from me talked about pointless crap about how i couldnt have counted my dates properly as i was ONE day out! said on the letter it would last 2 hours minimum mine lasted like an hour i think

Mine was just a scan, i didnt have any wee checks or bloods taken but all hospitals do things differently oh and they will give you a definate date as well. But the best of all will be seeing your little bubs kicking and wriggling away on screen the most precious thing of all

Good luck - its so exciting seeing baby for the first time I didnt have any bloods done because i'd had them done after my booking in appointment but was asked not wee after my scan (which was agony i was desperate 
) and i went to see the midwife about 30 mins after my scan and they asked for a sample then... take one with you and if they dont need it no harm done!
