    Hi

I have my 1st midwife appointment at 3pm today- DH is going to be there too.

What should I expect, will she want a urine and blood sample even though she is visiting my home?

she'll more than likely take a urine sample, if you haven't had your bloods done already, think they call them 'booking bloods' then she'll do them too :D checks for syphilis, blood group etc

It varies dpending on the health authority. I didn't get my bloods done till 16 weeks.
She'll probably check your blood pressure and take a urine sample.
There's normally a lot of questions about your family history of health problems, any previous pregnancies etc. Loads of forms to fill out too.

Good luck! It's really exciting seeing the midwife for the first time, makes it feel more real :D
